Museum Of World Insects and Natural Wonders, Entry Fee, Chiang Mai

This museum is a personal collection of Dr. Rampa Rattanarithikul who began working as a technician collecting and mounting mosquito specimens for the United States Operations Mission malaria control program. Today, she and her husband have collected thousands of specimens which are now on display in their very own museum.

There are over 10,000 species located here and over 400 species of mosquitoes that live in Thailand. The three floors that make the museum are filled with insects as well as different rocks that create the natural habitat for the bugs. You will also find a huge range of genuine fossils of bones, animals, leaves, trees, shells and fish. Depending on your interests, the museum will take around 1 hour to view.

The museum is located in the Nimman area, just 10 minutes from the old city. An entry fee is chargeable at the gates, and you can visit Museum Of World Insects and Natural Wonders any day as the museum is open daily. This quirky museum will add a new twist to your Thai vacation.
