Getting There

Chiang Mai Municipal Stadium is located within the Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization Sports Complex, northeast of the Old City. It is easily accessible by car, ride share, motorbike, or songthaew from most parts of the city.

From Chiang Mai Old City
The distance is roughly 6 to 7 km, about 15 to 20 minutes by car, depending on traffic.

Head north via Chang Phueak Road, then continue toward the Superhighway, Route 11. Follow signs toward the Provincial Administrative Organization sports complex. Grab and Bolt are widely available and affordable in this area.

From Nimmanhaemin
Travel time is around 20 to 25 minutes.

Drive east toward Huay Kaew Road, connect to the Superhighway, then head north. Traffic can be heavier in the late afternoon, so allow extra time on event days. Motorbikes are often the quickest way to get to Nimman.

From Chiang Mai International Airport
Expect a 20 to 30 minute drive, approximately 10 km.

Exit the airport toward Mahidol Road, connect to the Superhighway, then head north toward the stadium complex. Taxi, Grab, and airport car services are the most convenient options.

From Central Festival Chiang Mai
The distance is about 4-5 km, typically 10-15 minutes by car.

Head north along the Superhighway. This is one of the easiest routes, especially if you are already on the east side of the city.

By Songthaew
Red songthaews can take you there, though you may need to negotiate a direct fare rather than relying on a shared route. It is best to show the stadium name in Thai to the driver. Fares are higher for private trips but still reasonable.

Parking
There is generally ample parking within the sports complex, though it can fill quickly during major football matches or large events. Arrive early if attending a popular fixture.
