The most common agricultural product from this Mae Kampong Village is pickled tea leaves, a trademark Thai product. In recent years, however, there has been a shift to the production of coffee following a dip in the demand for tea. If you choose to tour Mae Kampong Village in the early morning hours, you will likely come across the villagers as they make their way to the local Buddhist temples to partake of the monk’s preparation before proceeding to the tea plantations.

Located just nearby is the scenic Chae Son National Park, which houses hot springs, wading pools, waterfalls and walking paths. Visitors often come here to enjoy the outdoors in this beautiful spot as there are plenty of attractions to view whilst in the park.

For those looking for something adventurous, try the Flight of the Gibbon which is located in Mae Kampong. Flight of the Gibbon offers a safe eco-adventure that will have you flying through the rain forest with their extensive network of zip lines, obstacles and abseils. Your ticket to Flight of the Gibbon includes a transfer to and from your hotel in an air-conditioned mini-van, lunch and all the safety equipment. These courses have been designed and constructed by industry-leading international experts who have decades of experience in the field.
