Pai Walking Street

The Pai Walking Street (Pai Night Market) is a food and craft market that operates every night in the centre of Pai.

You will find the market along Chaisongkran Road and Rungsiyanon Road from around 6pm until 10.30pm each night. You will find many more stalls during the peak tourists season between November and February.

You will find a huge range of goods for sale at the Pai Walking Street Market including hand crafts, souvenirs, clothing, postcards, jewellery, bags and shoes. The prices are already low, although some bartering is expected. Be kind and negotiate with a smile on your face and you are likely to get a good deal.

There is also a fabulous range of authentic street food for sale which is cooked for you on the spot, as well as juices, bakery items and tasty desserts. The Pai Walking Street Market is surrounded by bars and restaurants, so there are plenty of places to stop to grab a bite to eat or enjoy a drink. Many of the bars also have live music playing each evening.

You may find that there are less stall-holders during the low season between April – September and if there are thunderstorms scheduled during the wet season, many market stalls won’t open. So the best time to visit is during November – March.

The Pai Market is a lot quieter than its Chiang Mai counterparts, so come along for a quiet stroll down the street and pick up a bargain or two!
