Due to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) throughout Thailand and the resulting restrictions imposed by the Royal Thai and Provincial governments, Elephant Green Park has been temporarily closed until further notice. We will keep you up to date any developments and please stay safe.
Elephant Green Park is a beautiful sanctuary in Chiang Mai. The park takes care of these precious animals by providing them with a safe home where they can live free from the abuse that comes with working in the tourism and entertainment business in Thailand.
What is unique about this sanctuary, compared to others, is that they only offer small group tours, which minimise your footprint on the environment while ensuring a safer and more intimate experience with the animals.

Visitors will be taken to the local village, and you will then be introduced to the elephants together with a briefing on their lives, how they spend their time at the sanctuary, and what you can do to help them.
All guests are treated to a fantastic mud bath experience with the elephants, but prepare to get dirty! However, it’s going to be one of the most rewarding experiences you will have during your visit.
The elephants, which have been rescued from tour and trekking activities, have a large field where they can freely explore and roam around safely. Visitors get to interact with them in their new homes, and you can see how much happier they are. Their playful nature is evident, and at times they even tease their caretakers, who are known as mahouts.
The staff at Elephant Green Park are incredibly courteous, friendly, and informative. No matter which package you choose, they will make sure that you have an unforgettable time, and are even willing to take your photos with the elephants.
Although it’s one of the lesser-known sanctuaries in Chiang Mai, it’s unique for the intimate bond it offers both visitor and elephant.
