Hang Dong Accommodation, Luxury Resorts & Cheap Hotels Chiang Mai

Hang Dong has approximately 80,000 people living within its 11 sub-districts and villages. Hang Dong is best known for being the home to the Grand Canyon, the Chiang Mai Night Safari Zoo, Premium Outlet Chiang Mai, Hang Dong Golf Club, North Chiang Mai University, Go Bee Fishing Park and Ban Tawai Market.

Have a fun day and night at the Chiang Mai Night Safari in Hang Dong. There are three distinct areas inside the park; the Jaguar Trail Zone, the Predator Prowl Zone as well as the Savannah Safari Zone. The Jaguar Zone is much like a traditional zoo where you follow a pathway around a lake to view animals including monkeys, crocodiles, birds, jaguars and so much more. This part of the zoo is best enjoyed in daylight. The two safari zones, however, are the unique feature of the park with trams that take you on a tour to see the animals after the sun goes down. You can enjoy the safaris during the day as well, but this attraction is best enjoyed after dark!

Just a little further south into Hang Dong, you will find the Grand Canyon Chiang Mai. This is a large quarry that has been filled with water and is a popular spot for swimming and cliff jumping. The Grand Canyon is now also home to a nearby inflatable Aqua Water Park where you can run, jump, bounce climb and flip in a safe environment.

If shopping is your thing, head to the Premium Outlet Chiang Mai which is a large outdoor mall that stocks over 300 brands at 70% off retail price all year round.

Hang Dong is also home to a large range of hotels and resorts including Veranda High Resort Chiang Mai – MGallery by Sofitel and the Krisdadoi Resort. Click the links below to explore the full range of accommodation options located in Hang Dong.
