Ping River Restaurants, Cruises & Tour Price Chiang Mai, Thailand

There are cruises available at the river with some short cruises taking you along a short portion for about an hour and others as full day tours or evening dinner cruises. Many of the full day tours also include visits to temples, local markets and an authentic northern Thai lunch.

If you are looking to come over to the river to enjoy an evening meal, there are many beautiful up market restaurants located along here. Other restaurants offer a relaxed vibe with live jazz, blues or soul music. The Comedara Restaurant & Art Gallery is a great choice which serves traditional Thai in a beautiful colonial house. Deck 1 is known for its modern menu and jazz music and has a relaxed vibe perfect for those looking for a casual dinner.

DK David’s Kitchen at 909 is considered one of the best restaurants in all of Chiang Mai and has a European menu which offers French and Thai fusion food. With impeccable service, David’s Kitchen is a must visit during your stay in Chiang Mai. Other popular choices are Le Crystal, Lemongrass Thai Restaurant, The Bar and Cigar Lounge and the Gallery Restaurant.

As with all bodies of water in Thailand, there are plenty of mosquitos around the Ping River, so make sure to bring some insect repellent with you and reapply during dinner. However, many restaurants will provide it if you do not have any with you.
